Stay away from this place. The food is bad and for the price you can get much better food at any other restaurant serving Indian food. We tried the buffet but were completely disappointed.
We went there to have ala carte but the server suggested that we should go for the dinner buffet as it has more options. All appetizers were vegetarian (and nothing to rave about), mango chutney was most probably from tesco, sweet Chilli sauce too was from some supermarket, there were hardly any decent non vegetarian options in main course, only one naan/ bread was free per person, & there were no desserts. The server did give us 2 scoops of coconut ice cream when asked why there weren’t any desserts. Tandoori chicken curry or tikka curry was delicious and so were the garlic naans. One of the staff members came to me and said that I should close the covers of the buffet dishes as the food will get cold; I should have asked him if I had to worry about getting the food cold, I wouldn’t have come here and what is the staff doing by talking to each other. There was more unpleasant surprise in store for us: they had service charge as well which the server didn’t mention in the beginning. We came at 1015 pm and the buffet was supposed to be there till 11 pm but the server asked is at 1045 pm if they can close it. It’s a shame that they’re charging so much and the service is pathetic. We were very happy to find a halal place near our house but we will not return. Chaudrey’s near ikea tottenham is charging only 13-14 pounds and the food is decent with a wide range of options including desserts.
Nice location and is right besides Excel exhibition centre….service is not upto the mark. The food is pretty good but, I would suggest the buffet which comes with everything right upto the desserts rather than a la carte menu. Overall, a good value for money if you go for buffet.
If you happen to visit Custom House for Excel for some exhibition (Comicon London anyone!) or if you are unfortunate enough to live in Royal Victoria Docks, you may feel tempted to visit this place. A certain acquaintance of mine was a big fan of this place but this place failed to impress me. Went there for a buffet lunch, the selection wasn’t exhaustive by any stretch of imagination but the dining experience was exhausting, no zest in the food, no charm in the ambiance and no enthusiasm in the staff, avoid…
I wanted to eat Mumbai street style food like chats and puris and I was exploring options on the net. I came across Bollywood Brasserie. I went there with high hopes as it showed wide range of options on the menu. I was quite disappointed with the food, both starters and main course was a let-down. I don’t think I will go back there again.
Over priced.food not great.service charge added to bill even tho it buffet.watched as we paid bill so felt forced to pay then realised paid wrong bill.only given small refund.diet coke same price as pint of beer hmmm.big con
Friendly staff nice layout and pretty well priced menu or a buffet option for 15 a head Considering it was quiet when I went there the Service was pretty slow. Food when it arrived was tasty – the tikka Biriani was Good – would come again
