We passed by this restaurant for dinner. The ambience and decoration are really nice and it feels cozy to sit there.The staff are very friendly and professional, the person who helped us had a good sense of humor.We ordered steak, fish and chips and had wine.The steak had a hard texture and tasted dry, we didnt enjoy it. Not the juicy steak you expect.Fish and Chips was good and tasted well. The prices are not expensive, but the food experience wasnt a pleasant one.

A cup of tea at the Docklands Bar & Grill is served with divine, melt-in-your-mouth biscuites. Rich dark chocolate and a golden vanilla. Crunchy outside and delightfully chewy. Wish I could obtain the recipes :)The buffet breakfast is lovely. My favourite: the dry fried black pudding.All the staff were friendly and helpful. We fondly remember the vivacious Samantha. Words cannot describe how awful my meal was here!I would normally never choose to go to a hotel like Crowne Plaza for dinner, however colleagues were staying here so we thought it would be more convenient. Ugh such a mistake!Whilst the decor is nice & the service charming – the food did not compare. I had a craving for sweet potatoes so ordered the bream which came with this. Unfortunately this was not available so they suggested to replace it with the trout. As a result, the trout was lukewarm and incredibly fishy – I would say inedible unless you like pickled fish?! I was given 4 pieces but gave up after a few bites. My colleagues who tried were also not impressed. The sweet potatoes were ‘meh’. I tried my colleague’s prawn pasta which was average – nothing to rave about. NEVER AGAIN. maomeetsmeat.wordpress.com
The steak was beautiful, but the salmon was oily and a little tasteless. The rosemary creme brulee and lemon shortbread was delicious.
