I went there for my birthday and we booked a table. The service was alright and the food was really good. As I’m from Portugal I do crave fish a lot and this was a nice restaurant to eat fresh fish once in a while. Everyone enjoyed it as the atmosphere was great.
Chapmans – a conventional fish restaurant. The restaurant is just round the corner from Canterbury West Station. There are two rooms, the larger more open one downstairs and the attractive more intimate room upstairs. We went for lunch mid week when it was quiet. The food is off a reasonable standard, we enjoyed everything we had from the menu. The highlight was the Sea Food Platter. The cooking style is very conventional so do not expect much in the way of innovation here. The only issue we had with service was the delay in getting our bill.
