Good in parts Shed. Was in Canterbury for a family meeting and dedication and had to pick up my elder son from Canterbury West and also had my 83 year old Mum with me. We decided to have a brunch and the Goods Shed was there and open and looked good from the entrance area.Close up the tables were covered in food traces from previous customers and the chairs were in great demand as there were insufficient numbers for the tables they were supporting.Finding a table was a bit chancy too as you could get the table but any time anyone took their bum off it, for an excursion to the toilet etc, then another customer would swoop in and try to take the vacant chair. After what seemed like an interminable wait for a waiter/waitress one turned up and surprisingly cheerfully took our order. After that we were left alone for a considerable time and despite trying to catch her eye in the interim, she next appeared complete with our Brunch! After it being requested she then found a cloth and proceeded to clean our table whilst we balanced palates and mugs out of the way of the sponge! After a start like that, we were expecting a totally crap repast but the food was excellent, the coffee was great and the smoothies so good we ordered a second round – eventually – unfortunately the lack of attention to the tables by the waiting staff meant this was delayed past when we really wanted them.A lot of people came and were unable to sit because of existing customers taking ages over their meals and lack of seating.Hint to management: Serve people faster and have greater turnover per table. We requested the bill and that actually came in nano-seconds, clearly no tip as the service was virtually non-existent but the food, if you can be that patient, was superb.
