Appalling service and average food.. Conclusion: Eat ElsewhereUpon entering the host had no idea if there was a table for two. She had to go and check. In my opinion, if youre the host of a restaurant – welcoming and seating guests – you should know exactly what is going on in any part of front of house. Each time the waiter took an order for beer it would take at least 10-15 minutes for them to appear at our table. This happened 3 times. The beers weren’t served in their proper glass – something the Belgians would sneer at. We were told there was a 45 minute to an hour wait for food. The restaurant seemed pretty empty which was concerning. When our food finally arrived it came in the form of two bowls just dumped on our table. No offer of condiments, salt, pepper or parmesan for the Bolognese and linguine we ordered. I had to ask for these. Were talking absolute basics in service here. It was unforgivable. It started drizzling out on the terrace and a waiter appeared to erect the huge umbrella. He raised it and managed to knock 3 customers in the face whilst doing so. We were then given the completely wrong bill. It couldnt have been more different from what we ordered. Issued to us – by our waiter. I noticed other guests were having similar issues and not enjoying their visit. I should have only offered to have paid for half the bill. A tip wasnt left.
