Fresh, Organic, Wholesome and Friendly with a cherry on the top! Positioned in the heart of Chagford, The Courtyard is our much loved community hub. Set up by the community, for the community in 1995, we have gained a reputation for being a great place to shop, eat and socialise. Fresh organic vegetables and high quality whole foods are sold in the shop and delicious teas, coffee and cake are served in the cafe. All served up in a friendly atmosphere created by our happy and helpful staff. Gluten free and vegan diets are always catered for. Eat in and enjoy the company and free newspapers or takeaway in our fully compostable cups and packaging.Details

With Dee Dee inspiring us all to be healthier and happier without sacrificing the joys of eating, The Courtyard is now a delightful place again to sit and eat and feel nourished on every level. Well done, Dee Dee.
It would be hard to imagine a more wholesome place than this. Full of whole foods and other groceries but also a popular coffee place with pleasant tables and newspapers on hand. Pleasant staff and a quirky but sincere vibe.
A quirky shop and cafe, serving delicious coffee and cakes. Seating both inside and outside. A great place to stop.
Local produce outside, Joni Mitchell playing inside, warm, friendly, inviting and relaxing. Everything a non-corporate cafe should be. Charming staff, wonderful cake and coffee.
