Very polite and warm welcome as soon as you walk through the door. The fish in the sushi bar looked very fresh and inviting. We had a tofu steak Bento box and a vegetable tempura box. Both came very quickly but and instantly bought us back memories of Japan. The price and size was great and highly recommend to those who want to try Japanese food. I can’t wait to return to try the sushi.

My sister picked this place for lunch as she went to a different branch many many years ago and enjoyed it.Being short for time, we only ordered three dishes: Two Alaskas (salmon avocado) and one agedeshi tofu. We requested one Alaska without mayonnaise but despite the waitress confirming our order twice, both of them turned up without mayonnaise. Not only that but we waited 15 minutes for our tofu after our sushi had arrived before having to ask for it. The sushi was nice but nothing special but the flavour of the tofu with the fish flakes on top was better.Overall the food was ok but I would not recommend this place in terms of service. makebaketravel.blogspot.com

As a vegetarian fond of neither Miso nor Tofu, I had almost given up hope with Japanese food. Then we chanced at this quiet place tucked away from the madness of Camden Town. Boy was I happy! The veggie options could be counted on the fingers of one hand, but all of them tasted brilliant – I recommend the aubergines (with a side of rice), the delicate Sakura sushi and the oh-so-brilliant Tempura (extra points for presentation!). My carnivorous girlfriend, meanwhile, has expressed deep satisfaction with the huge bowls of ramen, the ‘moving’ seafood okonomiyaki and a selection of sushis and nigiris that I can never remember the names of, over several visits. Other things? The place is spotlessly clean – the loos could be slept in. And there is an amazingly endearing lady who waits on you like you were at her own home. While English isn’t the best of her skills, her smile wins you over, as does her patience in trying to teach how to eat like the Japanese do. Next time in Camden, steer clear of the lock (which I find hopeless, for the record), and take that early left onto Parkway and walk in.
