I had lunch in Goodfare Restaurant today and it was awesome. The menu had plenty of choices (that’s why me and my friend we took forever to decide). We both decided to get the lunch menu, main course and desert. I had roasted chicken, which came along with gravy, potatoes and veggies, and apple crumble with custard cream. My friend got spaghetti bolognese and tiramisu she’s half Italian so she’s very picky with Italian food – but she loved it. And I myself adored the meal. They also serve take-away meals and sandwiches. It’s a big restaurant, we came early and it was half full already, but there was people waiting on line to seat when we left. So, yeah, it is good. It is popular. The staff is polite and you’ll leave with a happy-and-full tummy.I didn’t have pizza, but they don’t own a wood oven so I wouldn’t think highly of it.

Having lived in Camden for two years, I didn’t once go to Goodfare. There was no particular reason, no particular prejudice on my part, it just simply didn’t happen. More recently, since moving out of Camden, I was at the Odeon on Parkway, and we thought we’d give Goodfare a shot. Strangely, the most memorable thing about our meal was the milkshakes, which are very good. The pizza, on the other hand, I could take or leave – perfectly edible, served up on a thin base. You won’t be writing home about it. But I could definitely envisage myself returning for just a shake. And the fine folk who ran the place were perfectly pleasant to deal with, too.Screw Flanders.

Went in for a brunch of egg, beans & chips. Got sausage egg and chips. Was too tired to complain & ate it and it was fine but was a little put out that they couldn’t get the order right

Well I’m no great faster of food but I would have to say that the hastily prepared pastas my partner and I were offered did not live up to the expectations set by the cozy dcor. The tagliatelle was ok but the sauce tasted as if from a can. That being said I would give the kitchen another chance on the basis that we caught them at closing time.
