Seeing as I had a Tastecard, I stopped here for a quick lunch with my boyfriend for tapas. We ordered a variety of dishes but as we were the only people in the restaurant it didn’t take long for our food to arrive. The patatas bravas was ok, nothing special as were the croquettes but what we really enjoyed and were pleasantly surprised by was the pork loin. It was well seasoned and not tough – delicious.Although another couple arrived, it took forever to get service so I ended up walking over to the waiter on his phone to request the bill. Would go back again for the pork 🙂 makebaketravel.blogspot.com
Really…?. I feel like I must have eaten at a different place then the people below.Yes the food came out quick, it tasted like it had been microwaved, they came out one at a time, we were listening out for the ping by the end!The rice went cold in 2minutes and the chicken was dry, we were told that it was cooked that morning fresh but it tasted more like the heated up left overs of the night before. The garlic bread was microwaved too, and cold in parts, definitely not grilled! Potatas Bravas was unlike any I’ve had before, another dish went stone cold within 5minutes and the last dish tasted more like school dinners! When we told them not to bother with the fresh rice, that had already taken over 15minutes so proved that the other dishes weren’t fresh, and asked for the bill. Without argument they didn’t charge us for the food at all, only our drinks, which in my view is a sign of admission. That and it was filling up for the evening so they didn’t want a fuss. They tried to say that we must just not like Spanish food, for the record WE DO, we just like good food!!I will not be returning and will advise others not to either
My boyfriend took ne her for my birthday a few weeks ago and it was really nice really really reminded me of being home in spain and the food was beautiful
Good tapas. Ended up in this spanish tapas restaurant on Sunday afternoon. It was rather empty and there was no atmosphere. I guess when it gets busy it is much better. If you are hungry and want something else apart from the usual boring pub food, chains or take-aways , please do visit this little gem.Good quality Serrano ham, loved the Pimientos de Padron – Galician green peppers sprinkled with sea salt. Some of them could be hot, it was fun eating and not knowing which one would kick! We got 2-3 hot ones in one portion. Also had chickpeas and chrizo casserole, but the chickpeas were slightly undercooked. Good flavours thou. They serve various grilled meat, we couldn’t decide what to have so they offered to prepare a platter with all different meat for us try. Fantastic. Will most likely visit again when i am next in Camden shopping.
The tapas came out quickly & there was plenty of coice for the vegie members of our party. The paella took some time but was worth the wait: a real treat!
A real find! Authentic tapas menu, great speed of service, knowledgable staff and the serving sizes are decent – unlike other local tapas restaurants. Good atmosphere, even on a rainy Wednesday afternoon.
