Lunch and sweets were very good. Service was efficient and friendly. Staff were very dog friendly. Lacking in atmosphere (few customers, wet weekday, Planning application pending). Lovely blazing fires. Very comfortable. Will definitely return.

Visiting Chelmsford and wanting proper pub grub, if this is what you want do not eat here, food was not good, I left my chicken as it had a horrid smell the waitress didn’t even ask if anything was wrong. Won’t be going back
