I absolutely loved my visit at jamies, the food is amazing, the atmosphere is brilliant i love the rustic look really makes the place stand out.The staff are amazing, very polite and attentive the Manager Lucasz made some very good recommendations on the food and helped make our night one to remember will definitely be going back very soon!
A beautiful building with heaps of character and a great atmosphere for lunch or dinner. We got to sit near the open kitchen which was thoroughly entertaining, watching the chefs make the pasta and how the kitchen works. The staff were good, service a little slow to our table of two as they had three large groups at the same time. The pumpkin ravioli was outstanding, full of flavour and beautifully presented. The pizza was delicious too, the base was cooked right through with fresh and simple ingredients. Enjoyed and would go back.
Don’t bother. Food overcooked, sauce dry, 72 bill for three. Pasta was pretty solid but the difficulty in complaining is that one does not know what will happen to the food before it is served up again. Left feeling deflated at what should have been a good night out. Waiting staff were great. Did have a sense of being on a conveyor belt with regard to timings. Food tasted like 5 pub grub. Try it if you want to feel disappointed and short changed. Supermarket ready meals were not far off what was delivered when we ate there on March 31st. Would not go again.
The WOW Factor. My partner and I, had a fantastic experience at Jamies Trattoria, Chelmsford!!! Everything from the rustic decor, friendly service, the mouthwatering food and even the toilets, were all perfect…. faultless! We had a delicious Aperol Spritz, each, to die for meatballs, sprayed with Prosecco!!! Along with tasty, more-ish garlic prawns… followed by our amazing mains, a tender and tasty pork chop with a side of fries and kale slaw….wow kale slaw, a must try, I’m addicted!!!! I ordered the Italian hot pizza, which was bursting with flavour, best pizza I’ve ever had…and I love pizza… aaaand I’m very fussy because I loooove good food!! I don’t know how we managed the lemon curd cheesecake but we shared and it was out of this world…. The whole experience was so enjoyable, we sat in a lovely booth with view of the stunning kitchen and all the staff were so pleasant. Our waitress, Hannah, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She brought round the drinks trolley (loved this) we had some limoncello and Saliza (amaretto – better than disarrono!!!), which were sooooooooo delightful!!! We loved the whole buzzy experience and we’ll be back xx Reading the bad review above… speak to them? maybe try them again? They really are an OVERwhelming restaurant.
