Second visit in the last year or so. Overall an average experience. Some positives, done negatives+, the sea bream. Top marks from my partner said it was excellent. +, the wine list. Very reasonably priced, lots by the glass. Wish others were like this. The voignier got top marks. +, cheese board was extensive and liberal with the sides (biscuits, toast) which are often measly distributed by other establishments+, atmosphere was in general good Fun-, the buratta, big disappointment. Tomatoes were pretty flavour less and the buratta itself was like pesto cream cheese. Not what was expected-, lamb skin on the chargrilled lamb leg. Presumably it was meant to be like a pork belly with crackling. More like some old tyre. The lamb itself was decent if a bit on the rare of rare side-, Rioja wine was pretty average and young -, cheese while extensive was not exactly very exciting -, service in general, three requests for water, no bread offered , had to get up and order the second lot of wine. The quickest bit was getting the bill and paying it. Done in 2minutes with the obligatory optional service charge added 125 for two. 2x starters and mains, 1x desert, 1x cheese, 1x beer, 2x small wine 1x large wine, 1x port, 1x service charge. Could be for the price overall.
