Under new management again! Although a great improvement. Chips are lovely and the staff are friendly and chatty. I am so glad the redevelopment of the town, is giving businesses more trade from the workman 🙂
Went here before In its previous guise on a night out years ago and thought it was awful. Never went again. Gave it another try when it reopened as this and since have come more regularly. Huge step up. Really tasty food.
I had just finished work, and was walking past the Fryer when that distinct aroma of fish & chips made me hungry, so i popped in & ordered fish & chips. Got home after a short walk & thoroughly enjoyed my tea.
The best fish and chips I can remember having. Really crisp, fresh tasting. Not at all trying to be something it’s not, just a GREAT chippy! Lovely staff/owners too.
