Went twice to Bibigo and and had a good experience. Great vibes and food but service is alright. Perfect for a date and just chill out with friends, girlfriend or Mrs. Tables & chairs are a bit tight
After a long day trip, I was too tired to cook dinner and wanted something super spicy and protein packed. Ordered home delivery from Bibigo (via amazon prime)The menu is limited, but whatever we ordered was very good. So much better than the other place we normally order from. The mixed meat dumplings were amazing as were the pork bulgogi & the ribs. The squid & red chicken starter were yum too.Since he wanted noodles, I ordered the japchae- while it was in the starters section, the quantity was substantial enough for a main course, especially since it was the thicker style of glass noodles.Loved the food. Will definitely order in again and maybe even visit if we are close enough. on.fb.me
Not particularly sure this is the place to introduce someone to Korean food, because it’s a joint that seemingly caters to the Western palate. That said, there are dishes that are big enough to fill you up to the brim without burning a hole in your pocket. When we visited Japchae was the only decent dish I liked and I wish they’d serve it in bigger portions. The monkfish came a bit bland and overcooked; seafood pancake was too thick for my liking; and the fried chicken was a bit too oily. Service was quite slow – we had to wait 15 mins per dish. thegirlnextshore.com
I went to Bibigo earlier this week for a friends farewell dinner a close friend is heading back to Oz for a year, boo! We wanted to find somewhere new for us all that wasnt going to break the bank. Someone mentioned Korean food and thats how we ended up at Bibigo!Bibigo is the perfect location for a pitstop mid-shop located on Great Marlborough St it runs parallel to Oxford Street, and is just at the top of Carnaby Street. And for such a great location it was so refreshing to 1) be able to book a table 2) not be crammed into such a small space you end up elbowing your neighbour throughout the meal. Oh and it is such good value and the food is good. They offer a set menu at 13 where you start with a crunchy salad with a tasty sesame dressing, then you pick one from a choice of small plates before choosing one from about 5 main dishes. The set menu wasnt that good for veggie as I think there was only one option per course (one of my friends is vegetarian and so decided not to go with the set menu because of this). We started with the red chicken which did not disappoint! Deep fried chicken pieces are glazed with a sweet and spicy sauce which really grows in warmth after you have finished your mouthful. Very moreish indeed. Next up we all went for something different: tofu bibimbap with a fried egg, beef bibimbap, beef hot stone bibimbap and traditional bulgogi. We all enjoyed our dishes. I loved my hot stone bibimbap it stays piping hot for a long time – you cannot eat this dish in a rush! It really was a bowl of heart-warming comfort food. I liked that some of the rice at the bottom went a little crispy from the hot stone, and the kohot sauce is very spicy, which I love.We stayed chatting for a couple of hours and we were not rushed at all. Ive never tried Korean food and it has made me want to try more. The food here is good and so if youre in the area and need to grab lunch or dinner its a great budget friendly option. dalton-banks.co.uk
Been here twice and satisfied both times!! Beef dish is the best, literally melts in the mouth. Their dessert dishes are a great balance, the pancakes are especially my favourite. I would recommend either going for lunch, getting there right when they open or booking in advance – fills up really quickly!
Authentic Korean cuisine in a stylish venue. I had the ridiculously affordable dinner 3-course set menu for 13. My Korean chopped salad was a refreshing and light start to the meal. Following up this was the sticky and delicious red chicken, which was the exact level of spice I love (teetering on the edge of too spicy). Finally my main – tofu bibimbap – it was a little small for most people’s likings, but perfect for me. Whereas the ingredients were fresh, there were just too many vegetables and not enough tofu/rice.I will definitely be back to sample more off the menu. bloomzy.co.uk
