Was so excited for the falafel bowl with guacamole – but was hugely dissapointed. The hummus FIZZED on your tongue. So gross and made us feel sick. We complained to the waiter – to be told that the yeast they use does that if it’s been sitting there too long. So he basically told us it was old??! Guacomole also was hardly guac – it did not taste fresh.

Walked till this place. I’m giving it a 2.5 for the nice service only. However, the falafel wrap tasted nothing like falafel. Also, the salad in the sandwich had a funny taste.

Would not recommend.I usually trip here in my lunch our and would consider myself a regular. Utterly disappointed with the service and portion sizes decreasing and prices increasing.. Paying 8 for a salad that has halved in size over the last few months and managers who don’t listen when orders are wrong or complaints are made. I wont be coming back here any more, sad since this used to be a favorite.

Was so excited about this place only to be totally let down when we finally got around to eating here. Portions are rather small, and I really don’t eat a lot! The cafe could do with an overall upgrade as it feels a bit dated. The food was totally average too, wouldn’t suggest rushing here for food or atmosphere.

I must admit Hummus Bros was my 1st choice to eat at today but when I initially passed by, I was put off by the fact that there wasn’t anyone else inside. I’m glad I did a double take and ate there anyway. 🙂 Gone is the tin can lined flavor that some other hummus restos have in their food. It tastes all natural, and I throughly enjoyed my meal. Upon recommendation from their welcome wall, I ordered the Chicken+Guacamole Medium bowl. It came with 2 really thick pieces of pita bread for 8.85 and by adding 2.65, I was able to have any drink I wanted as well as a side of salad, in this case, a glass of their mint and ginger lemonade and a bowl of tabouleh salad. In hindsight, chicken and guacamole works in the mexican setting. But with hummus? It shouldn’t work… BUT IT DOES. And a quick hint? Splash a little of their homemade chili sauce on top and it just pops in your mouth like a New Year’s Eve firecracker. The gripes I had with their food was about the lemonade and the tabouleh. The lemonade, i feel, lacked that ginger aftertaste at the back of your throat. I was really looking forward to a soothing balm for my throat but alas, i lacked the taste profile I needed. The tabouleh, though pungent and herb-y, was a smidge bit too sour. I placed a bit off salt to balance it out. No biggie.T’was really good, not too expensieve. Perfect combination. 🙂

I was really excited about visiting this place. The pictures look fantastic and I am a big fan of hummus. I was very disappointed in my meal. I felt for what I received the price was slightly high. I ordered the falafel, avocado and hummus salad bowl with pita, Greek salad and a mint tea. The mint tea was fresh and fanatic but the Greek salad was a bowl of bland feta, green peppers, lots of cucumbers and a couple of tomato’s. The hummus bowl itself was surrounded by great tasting hummus but a wet bland salad in the middle. The falafel were hard but still tasty. My boyfriend’s quinoa salad consisted of dry clumped up quinoa and a wet salad with too much kale/rocket in his tabouleh salad. Really let down because I’d heard such great things. Maybe I need to go on a lunch date instead of dinner.

Having heard good things about Hummus Bros my friend and I decided to head here for a late lunch/early dinner whilst out battling the Oxford Street Saturday shoppers (what were we thinking…)Thankfully for us Hummus Bros was fairly quiet and the service was pretty speedy too. I opted for the most popular option The Hummus bowl with Chicken and Guacamole and a side of falafel and my friend choose a Chicken wrap. The portions were impressive, good value and really tasty! Definitely a good spot for lunch when out shopping or wandering around Soho. The star of the show the hummus itself was pretty spot on, well seasoned, smooth and tasty. The pitta bread too scored highly with me, light fluffy and still warm, perfect! I’d definitely recommend giving HB a go if you’re a fan of the often the Lebanese staple, they’ve fine-tuned the art of hummus and I’ll be back for sure!
