I had a wonderful evening with Honey and Andrea at Jean Jacques; the food was a modern take on some French classics, some of which were fantastic.The best starter, I thought, was the crab salad: a generous portion of beautiful crab and an overall fantastic starter. The chicken liver pate was a little wet for my liking and the brioche was overly toasted, so a little dry.Andrea had the scallops for a starter, whilst I had it for a main. The scallops were beautifully cooked, and served with salsa verde and tomato sauce. I felt the sauce was a little sweet for my taste but still delicious. The duck was perfect; beautifully tender, flavoursome and an all around excellent dish. Finally, the steak tartar was delicious!For puddings we shared the chocolate fondant and the apple tart. The apple tart was a little dry, but the fondant was beautifully melt in the middle!A great French restaurant and a wonderful addition to Soho. thelifestylediaries.com
