Adore this place, perhaps more so because it accepts TasteCard. Been here several times and food has always been excellent and the desserts are just a marvel. Definitely worth it, with or without the tastecard. Service is wonderful, decor and ambiance even better.
The service is a bit slow and sometimes even though u made a reservation, u still need to wait for a table. When food finally came it was quite good. The waiters are friendly and prompt. It is rather busy and a bit noisy than i expected.
A let down. I was very much looking forward to my meal at what I understood was one of Londons best eateries. How wrong was I looked at the Menu online and all those lovely photos that come with it the night before and believed I was in for a culinary treat. The starter of Pressed oie Gras and Turkey Terrine resembled and looked like a scotch egg made by some Norfolk Turkey farmer you know the one. My Duck confit tasted stale and wasn’t crispy at all. I could go on about the rest of the meal but there is not anything positive to say. The service was good and they were very apologetic and tried to offer me other dishes. An over priced Disappointment.
Great food and ambiance at kettner’s!. My mum and I had a brilliant meal at Kettner’s. The Brasserie is really elegant and the pianist was great. We both had smoked salmon to start which was really flavourful, I then had the Duck confit which was melt in the mouth tender and my mum had the lobster special which was amazing. We didn’t have room for pudding, but the desserts on the bar looked fantastic. The cocktails were good and the bar looked really busy. We will definitely be back, esepcially for pre theatre as it’s such a good location.
Ruined. Kettner’s has been ruined by this refurb. A Soho institution dispatched with a misguided notion of what is cool. Kettner’s was original. People liked the shabby chic and the cheap pizza. A disaster for those of us who knew the old Kettner’s. Nick West
