Went here for my cousins birthday we went home sad. Super expensive and the 12 buffet per head doesnt include drinks. Very rude staff, they asked money up front. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE DISPLAY! Looks good outside but inside it really is not. Oh and they dont have plates when youre done with first plate. You just have to put your leftover bones/sauces on a plastic bowl in front of you. DONT GO HERE.
It looks and feels very dirty, the food is below average, the staff are definitely very rude and were coughing around our food without covering their mouths and its got very tight seating.
Have visited this restaurant on many an occasion, but this just had to be written. Birthday treat meal This restaurant used to be good, the food choice used to be brilliant please dont bother going. It really is a waste of money especially as the price has gone up for what you pay for. The food choice is now very limited too the vegetables consisted only of wet soggy cabbage! The remainder of the meals contained more pieces of onion than Id ever dreamed of eating. You cant fill a meal up with just onions!!I wouldn’t even give it 1 star. Staff were RUDE. They demanded money up front, and it was more expensive than last time. Food looked ok on display but really and truthfully, its not up to scratch anymore. Gone downhill rapidly! The meat was tough and so salty. The restaurant wasnt as busy as it used to be and when we came out, there were restaurants round the corner far cheaper who all had much more food on offer. We won’t return!
Unpleasant and disappointing service. We believe we have experienced implicit racial discrimination. And the food is really so-so. If you want to go for a good Chinese restaurant, it is definitely not an acceptable choice.
I went to this place to get a cake because the outside of the restaurant had cakes that looked amazing. I found the big pieces of cakes really big for the price but because they were so big I end up picking a lotus bun. It was 1,10pounds and was actually quite good, moist on the inside and tasteful. The outside was a bit hard so I was not sure if it was made on the same day. Good but not amazing or standing out that much.
Do not be fooled by the outside of the restaurant – through some hocus pocus of the window display the food looks MUCH better than it is. Also do not be fooled by the next door Kowloon bakery, with its alluring display of cakes and baked chinese snacks. They’re alright, the buffet restaurant is not.The buffet costs 12 inc. a drink, which doesn’t seem too bad at first but there are cheaper buffet places in chinatown alone. The minute you sit down you will be met by a rude and haughty waitress who will order that ‘you pay now! You pay first – now!!’. She will refuse to listen to you until you’ve coughed up the cash, which the table next to us learnt as they desperately attempted to get in a word edgeways to order some tea.Once you’ve paid and started eating, you’ll soon understand why they’re so keen for you to pay first. The amount of people who may have refused to pay or simply walked out must have alerted them to the need for their daylight robbery rule. The buffet selection is small, and all of the food tastes stale or badly cooked. The ribs were so dry and hard that I couldn’t physically chew them. The fried section looked cold and mangy. There were no desserts. Overall it was just apalling and there wasn’t one redeeming factor about the place I’m sad to say.
