The concept though unique, fails to impressed me with the overall quality. The fish is fresh and the sushi portions are close to generous. This is not the most memorable place for sushi, I reckon! This place is too tiny and makes me succumb to criticism. If you’re doing a take away, it is fine. However, as you decide to sit inside and eat with great expectations from the conveyor belt innovative concept, be ready to be a tad bit disappointed.
The sushi bar at the is place with its conveyor belt was one of the best places in London for sushi. But now, on my return visit I realized that the quality of food has deteriorated. I ordered the deep-fried soft-shell crab, and it was way too greasy. This place is on its way of turning into just another average sushi bar, which is disappointing considering the fact that it it almost a decade old.
Wanting to indulge in a small snack, such as ramen noodles, I walked into this relatively busy joint with a really fancy concept. Food being served on a conveyor belt! It is a Japanese place which is not run by Japanese at all. Surprising enough as it was, I do have mixed opinions of this place. I ordered a tempura soup bowl and tofu which was not cooked to perfection until crispy brown. At least that’s how I like it. This dish was cheap for otherwise fixed standards. Its not one of my favourite places and I would only suggest a one time visit just to get the unique conveyor belt experience.
I am not the kind to crib about money when the product is good but here in the city i have realized that the sushi in general is pretty expensive. The sushi at this place was underdone, the cuts imperfect and the roll loose. You don’t expect such low standards in a city like this!Maybe other sister locations serve good quality food.If you are a local, totally avoid this place in my opinion.
We went there for lunch and it was a great experience. Even though they don’t have Japanese cooks the food was quite awesome and there was a wide variety on the menu to choose from. I personally loved the Sushi. But the greatest surprise was the bill which was pretty less as compared to other mainstream chains which offer worse food and charge a lot more.
This place is basically known for its food which is fantastic. The ambience can put you off because of it’s old decor which seems to not have been changed since 1975. Anyhow the sushi is amazing retaining its authentic flavour and along with it they offer many Californian options as well. The food is so tasty that nothing prolongs on the conveyor belt for too long and the prices are quite reasonable as well. If you want to have good food at a good value this place should be your pick.
I recently tried this Japanese place and had a great time here. The food was excellent and was cooked to exception. There was a wide variety of pretty interesting and innovative options, especially in sushi. The service is pretty quick and efficient with the staff being quite warm and friendly. The place is quite authentic as well. I would love to visit this place again!
