Friendly staff at the bar counter; the fish and chips were nice and the bitter was not bad either. Ended up here when I was tired looking for a pub called the Red Lion on Brewer Street or St. John Street which is reputedly where Karl Marx and Freddie Engels used to down their beer while writing the Communist Manifesto. Couldn’t find that but Leiscester Arms was a good place to sit and relax.
