I wonder this shouldn’t name as Little Penang as there are only few dishes are typically Penang famous food. Most of them are other state’s famous food instead of Penang. I have not been there, I doubt the char koay teow wouldn’t be the taste of Penang char koay teow. Sadly say that I don’t think I will give it a try.

Ordered Penang Assam Laksa (7.90), it was good and authentic however with 7.90 a bowl you did not expect them to charge extra for the shrimp paste. Char Keow Teow was a disappointment too as it’s missing some ‘Char’ in it… so we don’t think we will visit again. There is another better restaurant down the street.. yummyjubbly.com

A rather new Malaysian restaurant located in China Town, most of the items are spicy, staying to the root of the proper Malaysian food culture. For starter, we went for the good old fashioned grilled satay chicken, great depth of flavours, but the meat was not as moist as I would like. My main of braised Hokkien mee had plenty of wok flavour, the gravy was perhaps a touch too thick, but the noodle itself was smooth and finely balance in taste. Overall, not the greatest Malaysian meal, but a pretty decent value for money eatery. foodanddrinksnoob.blogspot.com

It’s great to find an affordable and tasty place for Malaysian food in China town. The spices and flavours in the food were perfect and the staff were super friendly. Nice little gem right in the middle of China town!
