This is a great little hip cafe in Soho. It has a nice intimate feel, animated staff members and good service.Excellent flat white (probably the best in London), amazing flavor, perfect milk, nice latte art on top. This place has its charm with awesome coffee, cakes and quick bites.Well priced for central London and recommend for coffee lovers.
Not worth the hype. We came hearing because we were looking for a decent breakfast whilst travelling over from Melbourne. Maybe the British just have low standards when it comes to food, but there are about a million better places in Melbourne that serve a better breakfast than this. The barista had no customer service. They were sold out of avocado, and didn’t poach eggs – something that the barista managed to grunt at us in between slamming down coffees. For 5.5 pounds we got one piece of toast (really? Can’t even provide two?!), and a pile of lukewarm scrambled eggs. We had to ask for salt, because they don’t even keep it on the table. Not worth the price or the hype, and thank god we’re heading to France next, where I’m hoping they might deign to poach an egg.
Let down. After hearing so much about Milk Bar and trying to go a few Saturdays ago (but they were closed for some reason) we finally made it, only to be rather disappointed. The staff were uninterested in being there, and it seemed we were all an inconvenience. The barista was slamming coffee cups down on peoples table, and made the worst coffee I have ever had in my life. The milk shake was so thin, and the tin only half full. Worst value at 3.50. As much as we wanted to like it we can’t justify returning, especially not with so many more worthy coffee shops nearby.
Warm welcome and really nice coffee. The food looks good but I’ve yet to try it
Luke Warm Milk Bar. Came in tonight for a much needed shot of coffee. As they were closing in 10 minutes only take away were available, which was fine with me. The Flat White was nice but luke warm, it never even dissolved by the time I had finished it. I don’t care that they were closing, if they are going to take my money then please give me a decent cup of coffee. May go back, may not, but on this visit I am less than impressed.
The second best coffee in London. …and only to their sister location, Flat White. If you are near either of these two places and have a requirement for a caffeine fix, you shouldn’t walk past it. Milk Bar is tucked away on an unassuming street, and unless you know it’s there you will definitely miss it.I’ve spent many an afternoon drinking perfect lattes and eating delicious brunches in this warm and small setting, along with many a minute staring at the portafilter attached to the door going up and down as people come and go.Head here for a fix, you won’t be disappointed.
