Yesterday is the first time I came there. The young lady who served my table was so rude and so unprofessional. I came with 3 friends but we received only 1 cup of bbq sauce while I saw the other table each person had one cup. She changed the grill and threw a piece of meat in front of me. It was so frustrating. And she looked unpleasant when she served us. After that 3 other staffs came and served. They looked older and pretty friendly. Training your staffs please!!!
Super Korean food. The beef bulgogi was finger licking good! The khimchi was some of the best I’ve eaten. Definitely worth a try for authentic Korean food! Don’t expect too much of an ambience. The service is efficient and good- you won’t be spending hours chatting over food at this place!
Don’t go there!. The is the worst Korean restaurant I have tried in UK. I have posted the same review in google. Ordered a few things from the menu and this is what I got:Deep fried oyster each covered in thick dough the size of small ping pong ball and it was absolutely tasteless.Kimchi hot pot with pork (GBP25) : 4 thin slices of tofu plus a bit of kimchi and mix vegetables…I bet you will struggle to find pork in the hot pot…five flices of them as wide as tagliatelle and as thin as bacon (1.5 inches long)Seafood pan cake : a little bit of finely chopped squid hiding under thick layer of flour. Finally : The price is quite high even if they were more generous with ingredients but based on I experienced last night…it was a real ripped off.
Mandatory tip. Small servings. bland taste. expensive. the worst manager with the worst customer relations skills. i do not recommend this restaurant. burgerking offers more taste.
Small serving, food not that tasty, and quite expensive; but I guess it’s alright given that the place is quite decent and right beside the shopping district. Service was good, we were always assisted by someone – probably because it was a weekday night and the restaurant was just 3/4 full. I would not go back here.
Never go here!. I’ll start by saying the food is ok, certainly not the best or cheapest Korean I’ve had in London, but ok. The service however is another story, after noticing we had been over-charged on our bill we asked the waiter about it, the manager arrived to say some things we had ordered cost extra, which was not indicated on the menu. We would have accepted a simple ‘I am sorry we should have made that clear’, but the manager was incredibly rude and dismissive about it, so we asked them to remove the service charge. He stormed off and called the police! Seriously! We were stunned (the police never showed up due to have actual crimes to deal with on a friday night in Soho!). After a half hour stand off with the manager we didn’t pay the service charge (and left quickly before SWAT showed up!). As a former waitress I’m pretty sure the threat of incarceration is not really the best way to get tips! Considering the high number of very decent korean restaurants in Soho (try Bibimbap on greek street) I can safely say NEVER go here!
After sitting through a symposium about Korean Cinema, the newd for Korean food become essential. Using the Urbanapoon app, my friend and I decided upon the very busy Myung Ga in Soho. Whilst the decor and service could probably do with some attention, the food most certainly does not. I has the most delicious beef dish in ages here, the European favourite: Ganjang Bokum (beef in soy sauce), served with rice and washed down with an OB lager and a bottle of Soju. My friend (a vegetarian) ordered an amazingly tasty dish: Dolsot Bibimbap – which after trying I can safely say I will be having on my next visit. Prices are reasonable for London and I would highly recommend this establishment to those who enjoy Jorean cuisine and those looking to try something new.
