I don’t understand who would ever want to eat here.1. Food: average chinese that you can get at any other restaurant in the area. Nothing special2. Service: worst service I have ever had. I have been here around 5 times with different people and was never served properly. Today, the waiter was visibly angry, throwing cutleries and food plates on the table without organising them. He shouted at our table when we tried to get chopsticks. He tried to make 5 of us sit at the tiny table for maximum 4 people, and annoyed us the whole time when we sat at the bigger table.Another time, service was EXTREMELY slow. I ordered wanton noodles (standard chinese dish that takes other restaurants <10 minutes to make) and waited 45 minutes and constantly reminded them.AVOID AT ALL COST
So it was a good experience. They have 2 floors and the sitting arrangement is just fine but what I was impressed with was their service. They were so fast like one minute i ordered food and looked down to check my phone and bang there he was with my food all over the table. I mean, it was very fast indeed. The food was altogether good and tasted well , I’ll recommend it as worth trying. I love the speed man amazing good going.
We went there for dinner few days ago. The food was fine but the services were horrible. We didn’t ask for the bill, we had the bill placed on our table right after we finished our food. We just ignored it coz we wanted to stay for some more time. The waiter came so often & want to get the bill. In fact, they didn’t say anything but kept looking on the bill tray whether we have paid or not. It was annoying & let us felt we have to leave. The waiter did say thank you to us after he took the money. The so called thank you wasn’t pleased us coz it was without any eye contact & smiles. We went there for a fine dinner instead of going fast food restaurant. Not coming anymore for sure.
HANGS UP ON AN CUSTOMER CALLING ABOUT ORDERJust received my order on Jinn (the delivery service)One of the items on my order was Preserved Egg (located in the congee section), which in my point on view was a congee with preserved egg, however i received my order on time and i discovered that this item was just 1 PIECE OF PRESERVED EGG for 6.40.So i rung them up asking politely, the lady who answered the phone answer in cantonese and was welcoming at first, but as my question about whether if the order was a mistake was presented she turned overly defensive.she presented herself in a rather unprofessional manner. I wanted to understand further, so naturally i asked a few FOLLOW UP QUESTIONS AND DECIDED TO HANGUP ON AN CUSTOMER with queries.I have also decided not to visit this business again
This restaurant is almost always packed. They’ve got a great selection on their menu. Their ho fun Malaysian style noodles is much recommended. Food and service were both consistently good!
Rascist Agressive and Disgusting. Possibly one of the most heart breaking experiences i have had in my life. I have been here previously about a year ago and had no issues. Me and my younger sister were racially abused in this restaurant by a member of staff for asking them to change an item of food. When we tried to bring this to the managers attention we were asked to leave the restaurant immediately. From the moment we entered the restaurant we were treated appallingly by staff members, and looked on while other diners were treated respectfully – All who happened to be a completely different ethnicity from my sister and myself. You could not pay me to go back to this place.
Standard HK cafe food. Old Town 97 was a random selection, chosen for its convenient location. It is a HK joint with standard dishes like rice porridge (jook), baked rice and noodle soups. I chose the beef brisket noodles while my friends went for the century egg and pork porridge and the combination roast meat with rice. I really enjoyed my meal – the generous portion of tender stewed brisket in a dark soy-based sauce went well with the egg noodles. The porridge also received the thumbs up while the roast meats chosen (duck, chicken and roast pork) were rated as just average.
