Great little stop off whilst shopping in Oxford street or Carnaby street. Lovely little tapas deals make the perfect mid afternoon snack. Highly recommend the espresso martini ! studdedkissesblog.co.uk
What a marvelous place! Self service tapas, a good wine and cocktail menu and super lovely accommodating staff! An absolute win in my book and the food was tasty as anything! Must try, and you will return!
It’s tiny, dark, with a few references to el Diablo… but it’s a decent pintxos bar that’s open til late. Definitely a dependable place for a night cap and some post-revelling munchies if you prefer something a bit more sophisticated than fried and battered stuff. Or somewhere to cap off your night if you weren’t served enough food for a dinner event. Favourite pintxos include brie, bacon & foie gras, fig & goats cheese, and the diablo meatballs. thegirlnextshore.com
Pix is one of my favourite places in London to meet a friend for dinner and drinks. I’ve eaten at all their locations except for the Convent Garden Branch. I first discovered their Soho restaurant about two years ago, its a little place hidden away on Bateman Street. It has a great atmosphere and totally laid back it would also be a great place for a first date! Its a warm and welcoming place, cozy but not cramped. There is a mix of hot and cold tapas all laid out on the bar, there is no menu or ordering involved you just go up and help yourself to what takes your fancy. As new hot items come out the lovely staff walk past with the offerings. There are two prices 1.95 or 2.95 which I think is very reasonable. You just collect the skewers as you eat. You can stay for just a quick drink and a snack, or for the long haul and work your way through the offerings. There is such a great selection of good quality tapas, I definitely recommend the sweet potato tortilla and cod fritters. I normally go for a bottle of Castellblanch Semi Seco and about 7 to 8 dishes between two and it comes to about 25 each with service. They are also rather good at making delicious cocktails. Its a great evening out and the staff are always fantastic. I never get the feeling we need to leave and can chat to our hearts content. dalton-banks.co.uk
Pintxos no way!!!!. I cant believe how some people choose their staff its the second time that i tried to go to pintxos and i have being always being treated like if im not cool enough to eat in it. i am spanish , from the pais vasco, and this bar just ruined one of the great experiencies of the world. if you are going to copy a style that has gone for ages at least try to do it right. its a big no no for me!!!!!
Serve Yourself Tapas. Dining here made me decide to review restaurants! The staff were so friendly right from the start, welcoming my husband and I and explaining the process of choosing tapas. We ordered a jug of delicious sangria and had a wide selection of tapas. All were really good but the goat cheese and pepper was the best. At the end of a really great experience, I wanted others to know about this great place.
Disappointed Soho Habitue. How many times does one have to give the benefit of the doubt before giving up? Four times I tried this beautifully presented place, with great food, except that the chef can’t be bothered to cook, the staff seem to be incapable of taking an order, if you ask for the menu or for anything hot it’s a catalogue of eyerolling, excusemaking and general disorder. There’s a general and rather unpleasant sense that the staff feel they’re too cool for school – or in this case, to serve the customer. A real shame as it could be so good. At this rate however it’ll go bust as soon as their chums get bored of coming because they’re certainly not interested in building up local support.
