This is a friendly casual dining restaurant in the heart of Chinatown. Certainly very busy every evening and weekends and prior booking is a must. For all dimsum lovers like me, they are the most elaborate dimsum menu, but sadly I think it is available only if you go for lunch. They only serve fried dimsum for dinner. We ordered a portion of fried pork dimsums, which were heartening. I missed the steamed ones but these were delicious as well. They served crispy duck pancakes and although they did a great job, but the skill with cooking duck is to keep it moist which didn’t come through so I was disappointed. The kung pao chicken with chilli and cashews was amazing and going really well with egg fried rice. My friends tried the sweet and sour chicken with white rice which is good as a starter but not with rice as it was extremely dry. The staff slightly struggles to explain the dishes in English hence be as basic with your questions as you can. It is indeed worth a visit for the location and ambience.
This was probably the best chinese food i have ever had in my life. The food was very tasty and i had a great experience. However the service was terrible. I was feeling like they were doing me a favor and i didnt felt very welcomed in this restaurant. If i ever comeback it will be only because of the food. The price was ok for the amount and taste of the food but not for the service.
Went here for a friend’s birthday as she would like to do a karaoke lunch. We were a group of 5 people but the karaoke room is massive and probably could fit 15 people! Unfortunately the room smells of cigarettes which lingers on your clothes after you left the place. Food was good but the bubble tea wasn’t that nice as the bubble was hard to bite.
A good dependable spot for daytime dim sum. Better atmosphere than most of the dim sum places in Chinatown, in that service is actually gracious and decor is civilized. They also take reservations, so there is no need to queue. Ask for a table downstairs, as service can be patchy and inattentive if there are only a smattering of tables occupied upstairs.
Slow, unattentive service. Food was quite greasy. Bill had 12.5% gratuity added automatically, I’d prefer to have the choice. Also sat next to a door that was constantly opened and closed meaning we were pretty cold throughout the meal. Have eaten better in Chinatown. Would recommend looking elsewhere.
Great menu options in a reasonable price range. The family style dining menus give a nice option for a group. I especially liked the Duck Pancake appetizer which was really more like crispy duck tacos with spring onions and cucumbers.
If your looking for a place to eat @ 1am this is the place to go!! Great food good prices and very lively. Loved it!
