I was at the Heathrow branch. The staff seemed very rushing which could be understandable. The presentation of the food was as if it was thrown to you. The pancakes were quite doughy and not enough sauce on it to cover. The croissant tasted fresh.Recommended: croissant
A very nice place with a special vibe of its own. Good choice of music. However, it becomes so loud on evenings. Try their burger, fries, mac n cheese and their super delicious cheesecake.
The burger + shoestring fries = perfection.Do wish they’d handle the busy periods a bit better – perhaps text customers when a table is ready rather than turning away those who’ve braved porn alley to visit.
Came here for dinner as my friend I was visiting had heard very good things about the place. We got there and the place was very small, and obviously a popular spot as there was a queue on a Wednesday night. Subsequently we had to wait about 20 minutes to get a seat. In the meantime we were able to order a nice bottle of red wine. Whilst we were waiting we could see other people receiving their food orders and everything looked lovely!When we were finally seated we ordered the rack of ribs with slaw, the pulled pork and jalapeo pizza, and the steak and eggs. Before the food came we were given some popcorn to keep us going until the food came. When the food arrived we really enjoyed it. Everything was cooked perfectly and the portion sizes were just about right.The place is dark and small which gives an intimate feeling. I wouldn’t come here with groups bigger than 4 as I don’t feel you would be able to interact with everyone in your group. However, small groups and couples will love this place. The service from the bar staff is good and they are friendly.
Love polpo and Miskins. Just went to Spuntino for the first time and found it embarrassing rubbish. The service was smiley but gormless, half of our order was forgotten and what did turn up was wrong. What we did eat was fine but mediocre at best. Bad value as neither the food or the experience was good. DON’T GO HERE!
Lost the sparkle that made it stand out from its peers of a similar formula. Dry lunch trip: truffle egg toast was overly buttery and not showing enough of the yolky/truffle flavour that mad it so good; boiled egg was in fact an average scotch egg; sliders were reported as too dry; and the cheese burger would overly powering sauce was edible but not nice and had a stale bun. Best thing we ordered was the slaw. Staff were wonderful though so never unpleasant experience.
A bit too wannabee-underground. I loved Polpetto; but didn’t have a great time with this one.Am a bit over the no booking thing. They told us it would be about 30 mins wait, and it ended up being an hour and 15. It happens, I can cop that. But maybe throw some eggplant chips our way and and your service charge wouldn’t get docked. Food was good; but a bit over-priced and over-rated. I reckon I could have made about 10 Mac’n’cheeses for 9, which really wasn’t too special. A nice idea; average delivery.
