The Duke of Argyll is a large pub which serves good beer and very good prices. It has an old-world feel and there are some thoughtful details to the various old photos and posters around the walls. The look from the street is perhaps a little dingy but the good sized bar makes for rapid service and the large saloon means you’re more likely to get a seat here than at many other nearby pubs at rush hour.The food is decent enough and reasonably priced, though if you’re looking for a pub dinner to enjoy then the Duke probably isn’t for you.
