Came here for my wifes 30th birthday whilst we were holidaying in Europe and had a few days in London. Great service from the staff who were quite attentive. Our entree and mains were sublime. I had the steak, my wife the shake and they were amazing. Only thing I felt let them down was the dessert which I felt they were trying to hard and the flavours of the chocolate with the orange did not marry well and the drinks as well were a little underwhelming. But I would be back for sure.
Social Eating House (@socialeathouse) was a nice surprise on our last Friday night dinner. Located at Soho, in the center of London, this trendy restaurant offered an elegant menu which recently won the first Michelin star (@michelinguide). We went for a simple but tasty ceviche followed by a 45 day aged Buccleach cte de bouef served with fried potatoes in duck fat, green salad and tomatoes – a classic combination here very well represented. The wine list is very diversified, with wine by glass from all over the world, including Portuguese wine from Douro region (@ilovedouro). The restaurant is classy but not snobby at all and makes you feel very comfortable in its downtown atmosphere, which is perfect for a late dinner, since it accepts reservations until 10.30 pm. For sure a place to be remembered, which was found by accident.Our rating – 5/5
