  Disappointing hot dogs… Great location, super nice staff, lively but cosy vibe but the food was not good. The bread seemed it was bought 3 days ago; the tofu sausage I had was tasteless and shrivelled; the cheese on chips did not taste like cheese. I’m sorry but I’m not comig back…

  I visited top dog on a Saturday at around 6 pm June 13th. The place looked cleaned and has an amazing design. It was not too crowded which was great for me. When I went to order the guy at the cashier was very unhelpful as I wanted a hotdog with ketchup and mustard and cheese only however they don’t have that on their menu, it would be great if the person can customize their hot dog. He said I must order one of the hot dogs from the menu, I order the chilli cheese hot dog, which was too small for the 7.50 pounds price however it was loaded with all the ingredients in their which I wasn’t really a fan of because I don’t really get to taste what the actually hot dog tastes like because of all the toppings. I also order the chilli cheese fries which is a very small portion about 30 piece of French fries in total again full loaded I was very shocked about the fries because I kind of expected the dogs to be small from the pictures but not the fires because the picture on the website made it look quite big. I also ordered a coke to go with the meal. It was very enjoyable and good quality however the portions have to be bigger and the customer should have more freedom with what they order and not be forced to order and hot dog that has 4+ toppings or a plain hot dog. Five guys concept of topping could be put in place and that would be perfect. At a total of 13.50 I didn’t expect to go home and make food to eat because I was not full by the portions. Great concept, I just hope adjustments are made to really attract customers to this great place.

  I was really looking forward to trying the dogs here as I have read dome great reviews. It really was a let down. The dog I had was a chilli cheese dog and at 7.50 I would I would expect it to be fully loaded. Don’t get me wrong it was packed with flavour but it was quite small, had very little chilli or beef on it. The venue is very trendy but the service was awful. You order your meal and they give you a buzzer to take with you. But instead of the buzzer going off, the waiter comes around trying to work out who ordered what. We totally got the wrong order and the waitress did not know what dog was what and who ordered what. It was a shambles and to top it all, they have the waitresses who don’t speak decent English at the front of house. Very disorganised.So very poor value for money and the service needs attention. You might want to visit on a one off basis but it’s definitely not going to get my repeat business. Sorry Top Dog you really need to improve.Pat
