So here we were this time at Wan Chai Corner on the other end of Gerard Street, savouring:1. Stir fried soft noodles with shredded pork2. Roast Pork in BBQ sauce3. Fried duck slices with green chilli and black bean sauceWe also ordered a simple egg fried rice which was absolutely full of flavour and tastes awesome, though being just a fried rice.Stars of the show were ofcourse the duck – perfectly cooked and mingled with the black bean sauce and tastes awesome!So was the Roast Pork – the taste was transported us to heaven or something like that. Among many places in China Town, I absolutely recommend this small restaurant. I would suggest to skip the other standard buffet or ‘eat you can’ places. Went there for team dinner, we got a really small table for 11 people and we squeezed in. Ordered food to share, they have a lot of veggie options too. Food was good. We also tried chinese liquor which tastes like rose milk!
Huge mistake entering this place while strolling down the bustling lanes of China Town. We were in dimsum mood, and not very hungry. The only dimsum on their a la carte menu was pork and spinach. Having had to order for a minimum of 10 per head (strange rule that many places here impose) we ordered that along with a pork spare ribs chili pepper corn and stir fried Chinese greens with fried rice. The dimsum (pan-fried) were center cold, they were thrown into a pan straight out of the freezer, the ribs were just batter fried with a sprinkling of fried chili pepper corn and some garlic, it was basically just fried ribs with no flavour profile whatsoever. The greens were ok, and the fried rice was just some sticky rice with veggies thrown in.The attitude of the wait staff was such that didn’t even complain about the food. Not going back there ever.
