This restaurant looks great but the food is absolutely awful , we had a meal delivered from there last night and it was without doubt the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten ,very bland , badly cooked , the Chicken chow mien had no chicken and no taste , the egg fried rice was completely tasteless and had no egg ? Very disappointing and a complete wast of money ! i phoned to complain for the first time in my life and the girl said sorry the food was bad but the chef was very busy ??
The first thing you notice is how busy the restaurant always is. The staff are all super friendly and after a few visits they remember who you are and always make an effort to be polite. The menu is what you would expect from a typical Chinese restaurant although they offer some great tofu dishes and the mock duck is the best I have tasted from any chinese place I have visited. Service is good and unless they are really really busy, the food is served pretty quick. On most occasions they give you some banana fritters and ice cream on the house which is always a nice touch. If you are looking for a fine dining experience and food that doesn’t contain MSG than this isn’t for you, but for a local place it’s pretty good.
One of the best Chinese restaurants around!My family and I have been frequently visiting this restaurant for over 24 years . Being vegetarians, this one of the only restaurants who are able to accommodate a 3 course meal, with amazing service upon each and every visit!The food has flavour, variety and accompanied with all of the necessary satay/plum sources and salts/seasonings. They are very flexible in exchanging dishes from the set menus to another dish from the menu, if theres an odd dish which you doesnt suit your palate; it is even possible to opt for just the starter and main, or second and final course- to suits your appetite!We have introduced many of our friends to this place, meat eaters and non, and everyone has voted in favour and have planned subsequent visits. We travel in from Surrey to dine here; looking forward to the next meal already!
I have been ordering take-out from this place for many years now, but for the past three weeks, I have noticed that their quality has degraded a lot. The food was chewy, fatty and very greasy. When we complained about the quality, we were snubbed by a rude and unapologetic manager. This is very upsetting as this place used to be great until a few weeks ago. I suggest that the restaurant should look into this matter immediately.
Down the pan. Well have been eating from here for a few years now, regular saturday night take away, however the last 3 weeks its been crap. Food very chewy and fatty. Very greasy and when we did complain were met with an extremely rude manager. No apology or refund of any sort. Bit of a joke as this was fantastic! Sort it out if you even bother to read these reviews!!!
5/10 Take away not so good, eat in not too bad. I had take away few times, It’s not so great quality, Just ok. Eat in was not too bad . I recommend to eat in there. If you have big group, You might enjoy more.
