Great service, and atmosphere. Also good to see gluten free pizza & pasta. The head waiter was attentive enough to notice before my plate hit the table that the pasta was not the g/f it was meant to be & sent it back.

It’s OK. I was a frequent visitor to Don Giovanni’s when it was across the road from where it lies now… The old restaurant was slot smaller, but very authentic looking and the staffs were full of character and loved interacting with the customers!I have been to the new site about 12-13 times since it was revamped (about 3 times after the introduction of the bright yellow chairs- why that colour, I don’t know!).The service in the new premises can be hit and miss- as is the food. Sometimes the steaks (which is the only main I ever order) can be done perfect and tastes great and sometimes it can be a little overcooked. I wouldn’t argue with the staff over whether it is cooked to your liking or not- this can lead to a rather condescending rebuttal over how ‘this is the way it is supposed to be!’, as one of my friends fund out.Don’t let me detract you from this place too much… sometimes the staffs are extremely attentive and love service and chatting to their customers. Sometimes it can be a character-less American-styled order and the plate brought to your table kind of service… I still would come again (not least because I work very close by).Overall: 6/10

Ruined a special night. From the moment we arrived at the restaurant, which had been recommended to us for a special night, we were made to feel very unwelcome. We had a resonably large party (10) but had specified this when we booked and even left a deposit per head. The service was terrible, food average and management were threatening when we voiced our disappointment.

Lunch here today was lovely. I had the special King Prawn and spaghetti and a glass of Syrah. 68 for four of us with starter and wine. Molto bene!
