We are new to Bristol and we’re starting to know places to eat. We’ve been to Loch Fyne before in Covent Garden and it was good. This time the experience was better because the more local environment. The service was really nice and friendly. The menu is nice and the fish was fresh and tasty. The food was good and enjoyable but nothing espectacular. It’s a nice place to go with your partner or friends and enjoy some fresh fish and seafood. Don’t expect a wow experience though.
Loved the great service and value of the Mussel Madness evening! The food was delicious and the service from our waitress Hayley was superb-attentive and friendly and very much appreciated after we had some specific requests such as brown bread etc
I had lots of expectations of Lock Fyne. We had tried to go there a few times but it was fully booked. One day we managed to get a table for around 20h45. I’ve order the salmon and…. I wish I knew my food was going to take more than 1h to reach my table. I should have ordered some bread or something. It was around 22h when the food arrived to my table and I have to say I was a bit shocked looking into the side of it. I had ordered a side of broccoli and you can see by the picture that the portion was.. a joke. I rarely ever complain at restaurants, but I couldn’t hold myself and I’ve asked where the broccoli was. They’ve brought a bit more to the table. Then the salmon itself was undercooked! I eat it all anyway, as at this stage I was about to eat paper. I left starving. Some of the guys that were with me had to stop at tesco’s to buy something to eat after dinner. On the plus side, the location is good and the decor as well. Not sure if it was a one-off really bad experience, but I have to admit I have been avoiding going there. It’s really disappointing 🙁 misslillysjourneys.wordpress.com
