Fussy diners that we are, standards have to be high and every time (three times pcm as a minimum) we visit San Carlo we have an excellent meal and a great evening. They are always busy and initial entry can be somewhat confused, but once the booking is established everything else runs smoothly, and to be honest I love the fact they get confused and speak Italian 🙂 when in Rome err or Bristol lol…Authentic Italian food. Attentive service. I love it.My only grumble is that the prosecco is over priced.
Visited San Carlo with my girlfriend in October last year.. I absolutely loved the food. I walked past this restaurant numerous number of times and I always gazed upon the beautiful decor. The quality of service, the palatable food, everything was on point. Would love to dine there, whenever I am back in Bristol.
We visited San Carlo a few weeks ago, upon arriving it was very busy but we were seated promptly. The food were amazing, the platter of the anti pasti has a wide variety of meats and grilled vegetables. Their truffle arancini was delicious and the selection of pasta dishes we had was to die for. Definitely visit this place if u are in Bristol. yummyjubbly.com
I love San Carlo!!! It was closed for a bit for renewal, but after that have been back lots of times. Love the tagliolini lobster and the tiramisu! One of the best I’ve ever had! It seems to be quite a special place in Bristol as there is always at least someone celebrating a birthday there. It’s quite crowded any night, but it’s worth the visit. Old fashion Italian place (I mean it in a very good way!). I’ve had different other pastas, chicken, steak and even the pizzas and all of them are really good. Sometimes the service is slower than other times, but it’s always worth the visit misslillysjourneys.wordpress.com
