Absolutely loved this place! Excellent, fun seating inside and out. Great range of local ales and ciders and bar staff were very accommodating, allowing us to try a few first! Most amazing pie and pizza choices I’ve ever seen – mackerel on a pizza definitely works! So delicious! Highly recommended.

A random wandering led us to this place. The food options of pizza or pie was strange but the quality of the pizza was top notch, a nice thin crust served on a board with a pizza cutter. We had three different options. Nothing was left. The drink offerings, included a cider tasting board which sums up the focus, was different with only two lager offerings. Despite this all were well receieved. The communal tables created a good atmosphere. We left happy.
Went here by advice of our hotel. We ordered the tuck in Tuesday special and cider sampler. This place has a huge selection of cider. The sampler rotates the choices and used several that were choices on the Tuesday special menu. We found one that we liked in the sampler. The pizzas that we ordered were both excellent. Very fun combinations of flavors and well prepared. The included salad was simple and straightforward and made with exceptionally fresh ingredients. The staff was cheerful and helpful. This spot was busier than all others in the area and as a result it can get loud inside. Seating is on benches and long tables. Probably not where you want to go if you want an intimate evening, but would be great with a big group.
