  I have been going here for the past 10 or so years. Ive had bad meals and good meals and sometimes amazing meals. All in all, it’s probably one of the best Indians in Chester and should be given a go. The lamb balti is a good dish to go for and the Sunday buffet is great value for money.

  Lynne. I have been dining with my friends in chester tandori for 2oyrs. we know the owner personally. The food and sevice have always been spot on, but since their refit the customer service has been unsatisfactory. I dined with my friends for the first time since the refit and was horrified at the response we got when we asked for coffee. The machine was apparently broken. Then we asked for another bottle of wine, and it soon came apparent that they wanted us to move from the table and dink the bottle in the other room. The owner was called, but he seemed uninterested. he said we could have a free bottle of wine, but the waiter insisted we paid for it. After an agruemnent, where the waiter refused to call the owner, I insisted on seeing the owner. We only got the bottle for half price, and the waiter continiually arugued with us. we will never go back there again and I strongly recomend nobody does. Outside the restaurant, we spoke to holiday makers, who said they were told to leave their tables, and that the service is very very poor

  Be wary-they cheat!!. Be very wary of ordering deliveries from them. i had a new menu with me and i ordered only dishes which as per the menu should be 13.90, but i was told 18! i didnt want to argue then, so checked the paper menu and the internet website where they have given the price still 13.90, so rang back again to be shouted on by the ‘manager’ for not cancelling the order as soon as he told the price!he kept saying the price was increased- the menu on the internet is from december 2009 and i am tried the place in feb2010. he told me that the price of tarka dal was increased to 4.50 instead of 2.90 in teh menu, which makes it the most expensive tarka dal in the entire UK perphaps!

  Disappointed! Went to the Chester tandoori on 12th December 2009 really wished we didn’t bother. The service was really poor and we were waiting a long time before our order was taken and we were waiting well over an hour for our food to arrive. Some of the other customers even walked out as they were waiting much longer than us for their food to arrive. The food itself was not very nice and my jalfreizi had a horrible burnt taste to it. We have been to many Indian restaurant and this was definately the worst!
