One of my friends chose 1 Lombard St as the venue for our latest girls’ catch up dinner purely for the location and the exceptionally good value deal on Opentable. If I’m being honest, we didn’t expect too much from the food but I was pleasantly surprised by the options and the execution.The dishes and flavour combinations are tried and tested ones, so while there are few surprises, it’s good to know you’re going to get something that works! We had onion soup as an appetiser, a terrine to start, quail or salmon as mains, elderflower jelly to finish – all simple but quite tasty.If you’re looking for a spot in the City with decent food at great value, I’d definitely recommend The Brasserie with the Opentable deal! connieconsumes.com
This restaurant is exceptional. I visited Lombard Brassiere oncewith a client, where we had wine and nibbles. The client was impressed and itwas quiet enough to have a discussion. I also visited the restaurant recentlywith two friends on an open table deal for 3 courses (plus a complimentary appetiser)for 19.50. This was exceptional value and the food was of a very high quality.The appetizer was a small cup of carrot and coriander soup, the starter was a croquettewith pancetta, main I had gnocchi with mozzarella and tomato and for dessert itwas a honeycomb parfait. The service was excellent – they always asked how ourmeal was and topped up our wine and water frequently. Would most definitelyreturn.
A soul less restaurant with a distinct lack atmosphere and attractive females. Asked for spinach with my main. Didn’t get it. They tried to serve us bread without bread plates. On the plus side – courgette fritters were nice and with salt the meal was ok.
Had lunch here at 1 Lombard Street (Brasserie) and the 5 course meal was very good value for money and the food was absolutely gorgeous! Certainly recommended.
