Excellent modestly priced French bistro offering a good selection for their weekday dinner 9.95/12.95/15.95 for 1/2/3 course menu. Most of what we had over two visits has been very good, standouts being moules mariniere and roast pork belly. One negative – I should have avoided the coq au vin given it featured chicken breast and the breast was indeed very tough and dry, a shame given the dish otherwise nailed it. Have not needed to go beyond the house red for a decent drink.
Seriously. I’ve been to a lot of international restaurants, I would never go here again, the orders were wrong, they quite obviously, according to several of us use mcdonalds fries, which is round the corner!?!? Hmmm…?? Food is mediocre to say the least, not French, asked if they did a tart tatin, no!! Expensive, steaks are tasteless, sauces from asda (probably) this place is for people who wouldn’t know quality good if they fell over it….. Just made myself some food when I got in… And if your wondering, cheese on ciabatta x 4, I’m starving, really pissed off we went there tonight. :-/
