Seating issues and rude staff attitude aside this place is a delight. The food is beyond brilliant and the eggs just melt in your mouth. A basic manners class is probably not too much to ask for, though.
Love the place, it holds the top 3 brunch places in London! Nice atmosphere, delicious food, great portions and good prices!!!!! My favourites on the menu include the posh fried chicken burger and the avo smash! #londonbrunch

I have mixed feeling about this place. Saw the menu and thought it looked great and only round the corner from home. So the starters of Parmesan cover pickles turned out to just be one variation of pickle the gherkin and it didn’t work, then the slow cooked duck was so over flavoured with spice I couldn’t taste the duck at all just heavy soy but the prawn on sour cream and avocado was nice. Then the main chicken harrisa I have to say was delicious I loved it. Service was hit and miss. Terrible half the time but when they did eventually get round to you extremely helpful.
Ben’s Canteen is a staple of any south Londoner’s diet. We’ve all been at least once to at least one of them (there’s a handful of them!). I like the Clapham Junction one- it’s got a very laid back vibe and really lovely staff. The fish- hake on chorizo and chickpea stew- is big and delicious, if a little salty. The duck nuggets are novel and nice, a touch dry. The dessert- DIY donuts- are a fun little playground to round the night up with (inject your own custard, chocolate or jam for optimum joy and mess). Service is slow but professional and smiley, with a glass of prosecco on the house as an apology for our long wait. Such a lovely neighbourhood restaurant, and such great value. Would recommend for a midweek group catch up, or a pre-shopping brunch! hellofarrah.com
