I has lunch plans in Clapham Junction with two Cornish men so where else to go but a Cornish restaurant? After passing many a packed joint Cornish Tiger was completely empty, with cool modern decor we took a seat. We all opted for the set lunch menu, which at 9.95 for 2 courses was great value. I started off with a delicious parsnip & celeriac soup with a Parmesan crisp & homemade bread – sweet, creamy & deliciously festive. To follow I had a smoked cornish fish quiche with lemon butter, the pastry was crisp & buttery however the fish was not as smoky as I would have liked. The lads opted for a soft & perfectly cooked ox cheek with red cabbage. Overall I thought was a lovely local restaurant, great value & worth a visit.
