Never had such rude wait staff in my life! I was dining here with a friend to be told he’s not coming back and I need to pay the bill as my friend ahs done a runner. I assured him he would be back just had to take a phone call but called me a liar! Of course after this I requested the service charge to be removed, also as my friend returned, to be told don’t worry if you can’t afford it in a sarcastic tone. RUDEST PLACE EVER AVOID.
This small but well run restaurant serves decent curry dishes at a reasonable price. 6 of us descended on a Friday night after a few jars at the nearby Plough and all of us left satisfied.I had the tandoori chicken on the bone to start which was juicy and succulent, then for main went for the lamb tali tikka massala which was very tasty. I’ve had some seriously dodgy tikka massalas in the past including one whose main ingredient was Heinz tomato soup but this was very good, full of flavour, nicely seasoned and with a bit of a kick which I guess is what the ‘tali’ indicates. This was accompanied by pilau rice and a paratha which was particularly good. Some of my companions opted for the jalfrezi and commented that it was particularly spicy, I presume because of the numerous green chillies it contained! Be careful if you don’t like your curry too hot. Also of note was the lack of oil visible in any of the dishes which is not always the case with local Indian restaurants and made for a pleasant surprise.This is a nice curry house serving good, flavourful curry which I would happily visit again.
