Just superb. Wonderfully smiley and helpful team, owner and staff. They even brought some tissues when I sneezed! The food was out of this world (did the taster menu with accompanied wines) and the owner, who was a former sommelier, chose some great wines to go with the yummy food. The chef is a mate of the owner and they have teamed up brilliantly. The only thing missing…? More people to fill it up! Get there.

We were in London a week ago. I researched this little gem before making reservations. We had the 5 course tasting menu. It was, in a word, outstanding!!!! Chris was the most fantastic host and pourer of wonderful wines. The deliciousness and creativity from the kitchen was beyond reproach. My husband and I love trying tasting menus wherever we go, and we are always pleased. This, however, was our favorite! Highly recommend!

After spending a few months in London Eating at standard places I felt this was a great experience. Vwry Good food, perfect service, quite. Not a great variety but just because the work and detail of the dishes require dedication. Perfect place for a lunch or dinner away from the center

Absolutely fantastic!I first came across these guys during their pop-up stage in Balham a few years back. Sadly (as a Balham local) they moved on to bigger premises up in Clapham, so haven’t been in a couple of years, but I’m impressed to say they have grown off their very solid foundations. The food was exceptional, with care and attention presented in every dish of the tasting menu (even after I threw a spanner in the works and asked for no seafood). They offered different dishes where necessary for my wife and I to accommodate my allergies, and all were excellent. Unashamedly French in design, but with more balance and attention than you often get at some three star restaurants. Not taking away from the food at all, but the most impressive angle is the quality of the wine pairing. The list is very well sourced, and though predominantly French, the matching is simply excellent. Only about a third of the menu is non-french but do not fear for variety, as a few of these numbers arrive with the tasting menu and everyone of them pairs perfectly with the dish. All of the wines are generally quite niche numbers, but I massively enjoyed the enormous passion and knowledge with which they were delivered, which honestly really makes the meal.Had a fantastic evening, at a very reasonable price for the quality.I will be back soon!!

My experience of fine-dining is mostly confined to watching Masterchef! If that sounds like you too, then for once, just give it a go. You could do a lot worse that to start at Gastronhome.Small, intimate, very French and also very friendly. The staff really do their homework on the menu which changes every three months. We chose the lunchtime set menu, two courses. We plumped for the sea bass escabeche followed by seasonal fruits accompanied by an amazing raspberry mousse.Add on a glass of absolutely delicious Sardinian white and a perfect espresso. Wow!Thank you Chris and Damien (and your two lovely girls) – I really hope to return one day.
