Good food ignore decor!. Great food, speedily brought. One thing to note it is cash only payment though so come armed with about 50 to cover a meal and drink more if you are hungry. There is a nearby cash point to nip to though. Really enjoyed our meal and don’t be put off by decor.
Rude and Abrupt Staff. A friend and I had dinner at the Battersea restaurant and the staff there kept trying to rush us along so the service was very abrupt and unfriendly. During our meal, we were asked to leave twice because they needed the table and both times we let them know that we wanted to finsh our wine. Afterall, we’d only been there just over an hour. Then, the female Manager came up to our table and shouted at us to go. I’ve never had more insulting customer service! Needless to say that I won’t be returning, even if the food is good. If they’re that desperate to make money, they should simply increase the prices. Nonetheless, I’ll be dining in the other Vietnamese restaurants in the area from now on.
Good food, but be careful if vegetarian. The food is excellent, but be careful if you’re vegetarian; we had the wrong spring rolls sent to the table and despite being told they were vegetarian, they were full of seafood. The tofu roll, however, is excellent — and I’d still go again, but I’d be more careful!
Awful place, terrible food. We like beef noodle soup. We got served oily water soup with no taste whatsoever , no broth base from the meat, simply oil and water…and not a green chilli in the resturant to add some taste. Place is pretending to be a restaurant.Strongly suggest they get a new chef or give up! I am prepared to pay for good food. This place is better suited for those on a budget.
Great food, iffy service. Like previous comments, loved the food, but the service is unique. Quail, soft shell crab, Pho all lovely. Green papaya salad with dried beef – tasty but small. 4 of us ate for 25 a head, starter each plus a couple to share and a couple of beers each.Would I go back – Yes
Over-rated. Not totally offensive but don’t believe the hype.
Amazing food!!. This is a great place to have an excellent authentic and cheap Vietnamese meal. We go here a LOT and its always the same, quick, friendly and DELICIOUS! Try one of the clay pots, they are amazing! It is typical of a grungy and strangely decorated Asian restaurant, the staff always try to fit you in, even when it is full, and when its packed, they still get the food out amazingly quickly. My only pointer would be, if you don’t like sitting too close to other tables then get here early as they tend to cram you in, not the best if you’re after a private, romantic dinner, great for groups, best to book though!
