The Black Lab is my go to for coffee if I am near Clapham Common. Great vibe although it is quite small. Excellent range of coffees available like their cakes and sandwiches
Coffee that roasted not too far away, yes please. Coffee that’s made the right way, yes please. Coffee from uncommon areas of the world, yes please. As a Canadian, I really appreciate well made coffee, and the next time I’m in London, I will make a point of going here. They make coffee really well!My El Salvadorian espresso was strong and rich with lemony flavours. Round 2 called for the Gutamalan, my favourite of the two. Strong with flavours of peach and a delightful crema. The Wife had a white coffee with their house blend. Again well made, she didn’t even need sugar because the milk was steamed perfectly. The sausage roll was also really savoury and crisp.Go for really good coffee and people watching!
I had the chance to be there after my lunch @ Honky Tonk…. Coffee was really good! It was quiet busy and the atmosphere was not that relaxing…. I would recommend it for coffee lovers!!!
Dropped by here for Sunday brunch and grabbed sandwiches and coffee. My sandwich, the Spanish expat with chorizo and manchego cheese slightly toasted, was really delicious. I got the Elixir blend (beans from Alchemy Coffee) cappuccino and it was also delicious. Really smooth and just perfect temperature. The service was fast and friendly, and it was quite busy so we sat outside. They also had a range of mouth watering desserts on display including cronuts (with smore flavour!), cakes and muffins. My friends also enjoyed their sandwiches and hot chocolate.
I have been here a couple of times. It was a small coffee shop, nice and cozy. The atmosphere was relaxing and I loved the couch. Unfortunately the coffee was horrible. I took single espresso. It was undrinkable, just burned my throat, not because too hot. I think that mixture of coffee was wrong. It’s a shame.
