Have been here for a comedy night on the first floor of the bar – great intimate venue for comedy and it was over 2 hours long. I know they also offer movie and jazz nights here. Decent priced drinks and nice place to visit.
Great Bar. Charterhouse actually does really good food and is a great bar to go in Smithfields. It stays open late and has a good selection of beers and spirits.At weekends, late license and friendly staff.
Guantanamo has better service. Bad food, that could be forgiven but unfortunately also bad service. Both bartenders acted as if we owed them something for being in their bar. Not a place I would touch even with a 10 foot pole
New Burger in town (actually they’ve been making these gems for a while now)Ended up in this triangular shaped bar on a first date, took a risk as I had never been here before, and loved every bit of it. I fell in love twice, well loads of times(the bar woman was a bit of alright), loved their burger, loved the Cocktails, and fell for my date, Result!!! Thank you to the really helpful staff for getting me through a nervous first date. I am a fan
I’m a fan. This trendy bar didnt disappoint me and my mates, compliments to the chef the food was fantastic. Thank you Charterhouse had a great time and ended up staying dancing into the wee small hours of the morning.
The Charterhouse bar has extremely friendly staff, with its dozen young regulars who come in after working hours to relax. They have a big screen where they show all sorts of short films, and sport. Upstairs is their function room, where they religiously organise a jazz night on Tuesdays. The nachos served here are ridiculous. The portions are big enough to feed a giant!At around 6pm many locals from the offices around can be found indulging in the sizeable portions of food!
Probably my favourite bar in the area! Unpretentious and welcoming, the staff remember you the next time you visit and even smile!
