Tasty food which makes you want a lot more than the small portion you get to sample. I ordered the Amarillo which was nice and the Sweet potato & Chorizo hash. Good but I’m still hungry.
Super Mexican food located in the heart of Exmouth market. Nice ambience, very friendly staff and time taken from placing an order to receiving the food on table were short too. Vegetarians can find great options here and the food tastes delicious too. Ordered the vegetarian platter, nachos, enchiladas and sweet potato fries. All in all great dishes and a decent Mexican gastronomical experience :)!
Cielo Blanco serves Mexican street food. It’s a tapas restaurant with very generous servings. I ordered a fantastic drink called the cleanser. With its watermelon and mint combination it could scarcely disappoint. For the mains I loved the ribs, mushroom tortillas, chorizo and potato tostada and, the salad. Overall this place is great value for money and has a lovely atmosphere. I must say Exmouth market now has two very solid tapas restaurants.
Menu looks good, but we didn’t order well on our first visit. We started with a portion of complimentary tortilla chips and salsas. I always like it when tortilla chips are very thin.Off the juices menu, I had the melon, coconut water and lime refresher. Very light, subtle and not too sweet. We tried to order both the pork and vegetable mezze sharing platter, but the waitress kindly warned us that that we way too much food for two people. In the end we opted for the pork sharing platter along with the beetroot, sweet potato and spinach salad. The belly of pork on the sharing platter was nice, if under seasoned, with good crisp crackling. For two people sharing, there was not really a lot of the pork belly. There were three ribs as well which I found unpleasantly dry. Chorizo meatballs were okay, but I am not crazy about meatballs smothered in tomato sauce. Nice soft tortillas and rather a large quantity of sweet potato rounded out the platter. There were lots of little dips and sauces to try, including sour cream, guacamole, a BBQ sauce that might have been based on dates, and some hot salsa. In general, okay, but I wasn’t terribly impressed.I wish the waitress had warned us that a rather large quantity of the same sweet potato mixture formed the base of the salad we ordered as an accompaniment. Sweet potato overdose. A good sized salad which would have been enough for a single diner to have as a main. There was also some feta and nuts (not toasted) in the salad. The menu does look nice, and I think I should return to try the street food. Charming service.
