Wow what an experience! This is definitely everyone has to do at one point. It seems very daunting going in but it’s really interesting. I was really shocked to find out how wrong I was at guessing what I was eating too. Waiters were absolutely fantastic and Roberto made the night! studdedkissesblog.co.uk

It’s fun, being in pitched black trying to guess what the plates are like in front of you and not to get the food all over your clothes. An interesting way to have dinner without distraction, it’s all about the person in front of you or maybe not in front of you! Who knows? It’s too dark.Went for meat menu and got a little surprise at the end. Would recommend 2 courses meal as dessert was disappointing. We paid 83 each incl. service for 2 Vinos, 1 cocktails, 3 courses meal. Recommend for dates when it’s still early door so you can do whatever face expression you want without being judged! ;p

Fantastic Experience!! If you are looking for fine dining then this would not be the place. However I do not have a bad thing to say about the food. Yes it is not overly hot and yes you do have to use your hands to feel around the plate but that’s the whole point!! We had the surprise menu with two glasses of average wine and a cocktail. Guessing our way through the menu we enjoyed looking at what we had eaten at the end. Such good fun, your senses open up to so much more without sight. The staff were excellent and would recommend everyone give it a go 🙂

Definitely one more time!. We have visited the restaurant this summer. I have heard a lot about it from my friend, who had visited the one in Paris, so I and my fianc booked the table in Dans le Noir in advance. I was worrying that it would be weird and I won’t be able to manage my feelings and my senses in the dark; I was really afraid that I will be lost in the dark, though it can sound funny. My fianc tried to calm me and to assure me that everything will be fine. But once we entered the restaurant, and we were welcomed by the staff, all my trials were gone as if by magic. I wasn’t afraid any more. Personal was so nice to us, they asked about some special wishes in the food, or some prohibitions. I have chosen fish menu and my fianc meat. We were introduced to the waitress, Sarah. She was nice and it really hurt me that she is blind. Once we were in the dark room, I realized that I couldn’t see a thing, and it was shocking, but really great. We were having a wonderful conversation and laughing at each other on the way we were eating. The food was delicious, and it was difficult to identify for us what exactly we are eating. We made some assumptions, but as it appeared to be later, they were totally wrongJ Our waitress, Sarah, was very attentive, she was like a magician: once you have a thought that you need her help, she is here!We also took a bottle of wine, and the wine was amazing! Tasting it in the pitch darkness was so unusual and it made me to love wine (earlier, I did not appreciate wine very much)! We left the dark room in about 2 hours, and it was difficult for my eyes to get used to the light. I can say that it is the most unique experience I’ve ever had. And my fianc agrees with me! If you are looking for something new, for something that won’t leave you indifferent, I totally recommend you to visit Dans le Noir. I can definitely say that I will look forward for visiting it one more time!

Would I go there again? Well probably if I fancy smooching in the dark whilst sat inches away from other diners who are unaware of the passion I was putting out every 10 mins!!! On a serious note, I’ve dined at a few places and thought the concept of this place would work really well. After being guided to our seats by our extremely friendly, courteous, helpful and funny waiter, our starters- which we had chosen outside arrived. Food was cold throughout each course, I’m no seasoned wine drinker but can tell a good wine from a bad 1 and this was bad. Desert was poor and had to be left unfinished. Definitely worth a visit for the experience, but food was really bad so just choose the cheapest option and get it out the way!

Gimmicky. A good gimmick. They replicate the environment for someone who is blind and have blind people as waiters. This gimmick does make you think and appreciate life if you had no sight. The problem is that the food is very low quality. We went as group of 8 (and had the 4 different menus – veggie; fish; meat; and surprise). All of us said the food was poor.If the food were good, this would be great idea.
