A comfortable and alluring neighbourhood pub. Chances are that you’ll get a place to sit and will get to make good conversation without having to battle excessively loud background my music. I like this place. If you live in this area and want to meet up with friends without travelling too far, this is a solid option.
One of my favourite pubs of recent times, the Blacksmith and the Toffeemaker provides reasonably priced beer, great food and is often host to live bands or art exhibitions. The atmosphere is lively, and the interior reminded me of a cross between a pub and a deli. This is perhaps appropriate as the burgers available are succulent and full of taste (well worthy of a restaurant, let alone a pub). They’re good vegetarian options as well, and the halloumi burger will please any cheese fanatics. The pricings are good as well, and very reasonable for the pubs location. With live music and art exhibitions on display regularly, it is unsurprising that the Blacksmith is often busy. But the quirkiness that they provide, along with the quality of the food and reasonable price means the Blacksmith and the Toffeemaker is a must visit.
