A fab little find with a few of my fave things. Great live music (they take requests), a lovely team and a 5 cocktail happy hour until 7pm. We managed to get a table right nxt to the stage which was good to see the full talent of the vocalists and musicians. They serve food, but on this occasion we didnt order, but I will be back next week to check it out. Lovely place. A bar with a difference. cookandpour.co.uk

Where do I start? I booked a table for dinner and a drinks area for my partners 40th birthday. There was 19 of us. We we’re in between main courses and dessert when a few of our group went outside for a cigarette. Up to now we were having a good time. The venue was getting more and more crowded and a group of girls tried setting up camp on our table. A man in our group asked the group if they could move there things as we were still sitting and eating our meal. One of the girls then punched him in the face. This was witnessed by our server Eric who was a nice guy. And also we asked them to view cctv. The group of girls were told to leave and did….or so we thought. They somehow managed to get back in and attack some of our group not once but twice. How they were allowed back in twice who knows. Whilst this was going on our table and chairs were removed as per the agreement of our booking so we could go to our drinks area which again I had booked months in advance. As one of our party is registered disabled and a couple are older with arthritis I requested at least 3 chairs. I was told this was not a problem. Now bare in mind there was 19 of us. Our drinks area consisted of a very small table and only 1 chair. Then the partner of the man with is who got punched for know reason was thrown out. This was the final straw. My partners big night out for her birthday was ruined.I asked to speak to the manager as I had people in tears and leaving. The manager was polite but had absolutely no people skills or understanding. He made us feel like we were in the wrong and we had done nothing but try and have a good night. His solution to solve the problem was to let the lady back in who was with our party but as I explained she was long gone as she was upset at being thrown out. We ended up in the pub across the road and had a much better time in there. For me the concept of this place is great but in reality it is run terribly with a manager who doesn’t want to help you out just make you feel like your wrong when all you want is a good time.
